Irene Gathinji is a board governance, leadership and organisational development specialist with 28 years' experience advancing institutional transformation and sustainability across East and Southern Africa. She previously served as Vice Chair of the Board of Trustees at the Micro Enterprise Support Programme Trust (MESPT). Her expertise includes governance, risk oversight, safeguarding, ESG implementation, strategic planning, and institutional systems strengthening. She holds a MPhil in Workplace Ethics from the University of Pretoria.
