Kevin Ong'idi Otieno

Communications & Networks Lead (CER-K / ERP)

Kevin is a Senior food security and climate resilience specialist with over 13 years of experience leading large-scale, donor-funded food security, nutrition and ecosystem restoration programs across East Africa. He holds a Master’s in Project Planning and Management from the University of Nairobi and a BSc in Food Science and Nutrition. A core pillar of Kevin’s expertise lies in strategic communication and Social and Behaviour Change (SBC), utilizing targeted advocacy and behavioural insights. Over his career, Kevin has successfully designed and scaled rural communication strategies, mobilized smallholder farmers toward climate-smart agriculture, and coordinated complex multi-partner environmental consortia. In his dual role at CER-K and the Earth Rover Program, he bridges the gap between technical soil science and field-level impact, overseeing external communications, stakeholder mapping, and network development across different ecological hubs while anchoring regional expansion program strategies into other locations in Kenya, Rwanda, Tanzania, and Uganda
